Most recently, she worked for a global trade association in the hospitality technology industry planning conferences, meetings, and events and managing membership. Prior to that, Merry lead the outreach and events for the European Union Center in Illinois, teaching Midwestern Americans about the EU through programs and seminars about business, culture, and politics in the EU. As an intern for the United States Department of State, Merry worked at the US Consulate General Frankfurt, Germany conducting and conducted political and economic research and event planning.
Merry earned her bachelor’s degree in international relations and studied internationally at the Humboldt Universitaet zu Berlin. She earned her master’s degree in political science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with the Civic Leadership Fellowship.
In her free time, Merry enjoys traveling, dancing salsa, and is a violinist in the Harper Symphony Orchestra.

Glenn Murray is founder and CEO of media company 220 Communications, Mr. Murray has held positions in the marketing departments at top U.S. companies including General Electric, Leo Burnett, Sears and Discover Card.
